Abstract Title:Impacts of Chatbot with Concept Mapping Features on Nursing Staff’s Learning Performance in Resuscitation Medications Training

Biography: Huan-Hsien Liu has 17 years of clinical nursing experience and currently works at the Hemodialysis Center of Taiwan Adventist Hospital. She holds a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of Gerontology and Health Care Management, Chang Gung University of Science and Technology.

Research Interest: Patients undergoing hemodialysis face long-term treatment and lifestyle restrictions, making effective self-health management essential to improve adherence, quality of life, and reduce complications. This study examined factors influencing self-health management and the mediating role of resilience between self-efficacy and self-health management. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 137 patients from a regional hospital and nearby clinics using structured questionnaires, including sociodemographic data, the Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease Scale, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale-10, and the Hemodialysis Self-Management Instrument. Results showed that self-health management was positively correlated with resilience (r = .60, p < .01) and self-efficacy (r = .45, p < .01). Resilience was the strongest predictor (β = .42, p < .001), while self-efficacy (β = .20, p = .005), non-smoking, higher income, and Buddhist belief also contributed, explaining 62% of the variance. Furthermore, resilience partially mediated the link between self-efficacy and self-health management. These findings highlight resilience and self-efficacy as key factors, suggesting that nursing interventions to strengthen these capacities can enhance self-care behaviors and health outcomes in hemodialysis patients.
